Together Again

Donald Edward “Zip” Bradley Sr., 80, of Lonaconing died Friday, September 4, 2020 at UPMC Western Maryland. Born on September 27, 1939 he was the son of the late Millard and Marcella (Donald) Bradley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Bradley, three sisters; Norma Jean Clark, Jennie Donaldson and Beatrice Bradley and two brothers; Fillmore Bradley and Jake Bradley.

Zip was a 1957 graduate of Valley High School and worked most of his life as a custodian for the Allegany County Board of Education.  He attended the Presbyterian Church of Barton and was a member of the Never Seen Sportsman Club.  He loved hunting and fishing, especially with his son Donny and grandchildren Carson and Maddie.  He was well known for his homemade ice cream that he made every party, picnic or birthday.

He is survived by two daughters; Dolly Bohn and Susan Rayner and husband Tim, one son; Donald Bradley Jr. and wife Stacey, seven grandchildren; Brittany Rayner and fiancé Michael Harden, Tyler Rayner and wife Mariah, Jaren Bohn and wife Sarah, Braden Bohn. Madison Bradley and fiancé Jacob Wagoner and Carson Bradley, three great grandchildren; George, Remy and Hudson, two sisters; Margaret Stafford and a special sister, Betty Lou Grogg who was always there for him, one brother; Ray Bradley and wife Joanne and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 5:00-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Thomas Morgan officiating.  Interment will be held at Mt. View Cemetery, Moscow Mills, MD.
