Donald Eugene Dwire Jr. “Disco Don”, 63, of Moscow Street, Barton passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on September 16, 1952 in Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Donald “Buster” Dwire and Dorothy (Carlson) Dwire.
Together with his parents he was also preceded in death by two nephews, Ryan Crafton and Randy Dwire, a niece Amanda Magruder and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Andrew and Bessie Twigg.
Don worked at Tri-Star Mining from 1979 to 2008. He was a lifetime member of the Dogwood Flat Hunting and Fishing Club, Barton. He loved his family and friends; he will be sadly missed by us all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, whom he married on September 15, 1979, Martha Jane (Twigg) Dwire; three children, Charles “Eddie” Edward Robertson III and wife Windy, Dawn Nicole Dwire Cope and husband Andrew Cope and Chad Eugene Dwire and fiancé Caressa Colmer; six grandchildren, Dustin Cutter, Rian Robertson, Logan Robertson, Landen Dwire, Ella Cope and Brayden Dwire; one great-granddaughter, Graycelyn Cutter; six siblings, Larry Dwire of Donegal, PA, Bonnie Amyot of Piedmont, WV, Brenda Gattens of Donegal, PA, Carol Magruder of Piedmont, WV, Pam Crafton and husband Ronald of Hanover, PA and David Dwire of Barton; nine nephews, seven nieces and several great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00AM with Pastor Robert Patenaude officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
