Dolores High

Dolores (Nichols) High, 90, of Lonaconing, died Sunday, February 19, 2023 at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland. Born in Lonaconing on July 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Priscilla Nichols.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, William High and her life partner, John William Shober.

Dolores graduated from Central High School and retired from the Allegany County Public School system in 1993. In her spare time, she loved to travel and she spent every winter in Florida.

She is survived by her son, Wallace High and wife Debra; a grandson, Matthew High and wife Melissa and six great-grandchildren, McClain High, Brie High, Lillian Barnes, Miles High, Madelyn High and Maximus High.

She will be cremated and inurned at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing is assisting the family.
