Dionn Nicol

Dionn Nicol, 71, of Robin Street, Lonaconing died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on April 24, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Harold Binnix and Mary (Klosterman) Binnix.

She was preceded in death by two siblings, Mary Jo Dorsey and Harold J. Binnix.

Dionn loved shopping, gardening, cooking and playing bingo with her friends. She also enjoyed decorating her house for the holidays.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Nicol; four children, Ken Staggs and wife Marsha of Frostburg, Donna Bittner and husband Eric of Flintstone, Debbie Barton and husband Doug of Oldtown and Aaron Staggs of Frostburg; five grandchildren, Shayna Staggs, Kayla Staggs, Eryc Bittner, Austin Bittner and Chris Barton and wife Shelby; one great-granddaughter, Kendra Staggs; a sister, Peg Rae; two brothers, Dave Binnix and Jim Binnix; several nieces and nephews and her beloved pets, her dog Cheyenne and her cat Anna.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 7:00 PM with Rev. Charles Shelquist officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Frostburg Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the Nurses and CNAs with WMHS Home Hospice and WMRMC 7 South for the extra special care they took of Dionn.
