Clinton F. James, 95, of Frostburg Village Nursing Home died on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on May 1, 1920 in Lonaconing, Maryland he was the son of the late Daniel James, Sr. and Nellie (Baird) James.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Verna Elaine (Donald) James and his infant daughter, Carolyn E. James and five brothers and one sister. He and his late wife were members of the Midland Grace United Methodist Church.
A Veteran of WWII with the U.S. Army, he served in the Pacific Theater in the Philippines. Mr. James was a retired machinist with the TRW Company in Cleveland, Ohio.
Surviving are his two sons, John C. James and wife Marilyn R. James of Lancaster, Ohio and Gene L. James of Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandsons, Jay James of Las Vegas, Nevada and Todd James of Madison, Ohio; two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews in the immediate area.
A private burial will take place on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Frostburg Memorial Park. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing handled the arrangements.
