A choir of angels led Clara Edna Llewellyn to her heavenly home on October 7, 2024. A devoted Christian she was met by her Lord and Savior Jesus, and her loved ones who passed before her. Waiting for her was the love of her life, husband Samuel Llewellyn, her darling daughter Wanda Payton, dear grandson Jeremy Livesay, and two infant children lost at birth. Also, her parents Joe and Clara Steele, brother Joe and wife Mary, sisters Esther Wilson and Edith Llewellyn and husband Bob, in-laws Cecil and Helen Llewellyn, Rosalie Abbott, Marvin and Peach Llewellyn and Bob Clark and sons-in- law Lawrence Livesay and Gene Payton.
Edna is survived by her sons Randy Llewellyn and wife Jenny, Tim Llewellyn and wife Krista, and daughter Janet Livesay. Also, her grandchildren Brad Payton and wife Dawn, Brooke Payton and fiancé Amy, Daniel Livesay, Casey and Sarah Llewellyn and Jessie Fazenbaker-Roy and husband Chris; great-grandchildren Xzavier, Neveah, Izaiah, Adrianah, and Braylee Payton, Jaden Livesay, Charlie Carter and Sophia and Fiona Staggs; her dear sister June Clark; in-laws Bill and Norma Byers, Gary and Val Llewellyn; many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Edna made a loving home for her family and once her children were grown, she became employed at the Best Western Motel. She was an active member of the Frist Presbyterian Church of Lonaconing where for many years she sang in the church choir and held several positions. She also took pleasure in the Dan’s Mountain Volunteer Team and with her Pythian Sisters. Edna just received her 25-year certificate as a member of Morning Star Temple #1, Pythian Sisters in June of this year. She held an office in the temple and was very active.
Edna’s was a life well lived. Her smile lit up the room and her loving kindness caused everyone to describe her as a sweetheart. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her.
The family would like to thank Egle Nursing Home and Assisted Living and Sterling Care staff for the wonderful care given to Mom in this past year.
