Christopher Hyde

Christopher Shawn Hyde, 49, of Westernport Road, McCoole, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at his residence. Born on November 15, 1973 in Cumberland he was the son of the late Linda (Hyde) O’Haver.

He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sherman and Rosella (Smith) Hyde.

Chris was a 1991 graduate of Westmar High School. He previously owned and operated Chris’s Photography and had worked at Powell’s Gas Station for many years.

He leaves behind his beloved girlfriend of 27 years, Mandy Preston; step-father, Mike O’Haver of Lonaconing and a sister, Heather Jacobs Roach.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home P.A., Lonaconing with Pastor Marjorie Hurder-Buhrman officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be held at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
