Cherryl May Matthews

Cherryl May Matthews, 54, of Main Street, Lonaconing, died Friday, March 22, 2024 at Cumberland Healthcare Center. Born on February 16, 1970 in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Jack Matthews and Barbara (Thomas) Fickes.

Cherryl was a very caring person, much like a mother and sister to many more than her own. She was a graduate of Valley High School and a member of the Frostburg Legion.

She is survived by her two daughters, Takeya Andrick and husband Michael of Cumberland and Tiffany Nicol and William Cutter of Frostburg; seven grandchildren, Carlton Troutman, Aron Custer, Brent Saweikis, Jerry Andrick and Joshua, Jenson and Corbin Nicol and lifetime friend, Chuckie Broadwater.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing is handling the arrangements.
