Charles Green

Charles Cecil Green, 82, of Virginia Street, Keyser passed away at his home on May 19, 2018  surrounded by his caregivers, extended family and Potomac Valley Hospice. Born on June 30, 1935 in Barton he was the son of the late Charles A. Green and Margaret Fern (Broadwater) Green. He was the grandson of the late Mortmar Broadwater and Ida (Bittinger) Broadwater.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Jean Green. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Charles grew up in Lonaconing on Old Beechwood Road. He attended Valley High and retired from the City of Alexander, VA after 35 years of service. Charlie enjoyed his westerns and country music. He loved his fur buddies, Boots, Tommy and Lucy. Charles resided with his cousin Patricia A. Shillingburg. He was loved like a brother and will be missed by his extended family.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be held at Green Cemetery, Lonaconing.
