Charles Eugene Daniels

Charles “Charlie” Eugene Daniels, 95, of Lonaconing MD passed away on June 22nd, 2024 at Egle Nursing Home. Born December 25th, 1928 in Westernport MD. He was the son of the late Frank and Flossie (Ours) Daniels. He is proceeded in death by his loving wife Norma Jean (Nightingale) Daniels. Sisters Wilma Francis, Doris Daddysman, Bernadine Francis, and brother Foster Daniels.

He is survived by his daughter Tammie Blair. Grandchildren Rick Blair Jr. (Anna), Chuck Blair (Melanie), Shawnda Blair and Shaela Murtha (Nathan). Great grandchildren Michael, CJ (Hailey), Daniel, Keana, Draven, Kierrah, Phoenix, River, Aspyn and a great-great granddaughter due in August. His brother John Daniels, sister-in-law Louise Hott, brother-in-law's Danny (Millie), Woody, Jack (Emma) Nightengale, and many nieces and nephews.

Charlie was a retired service man for Columbia gas of Maryland. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lonaconing. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias where he served as Grand Chancellor for the State of MD in 2002. He was also a driver / member of George's Creek Ambulance Service.

Charlie would introduce himself as “Charlie Daniels the good looking one, not the fuzzy face one.” Charlie has touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.

Charlie’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Frostburg Memorial Park with his wife Norma Jean.
