Catherine Jane (Ravenscroft) Winters, 64, of Thomas Hill Road, Midland went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at UPMC, Pittsburgh, PA. Born on November 14, 1947 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Wilson Ravenscroft and Annabelle Howatt (McKinley) Ravenscroft.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, Hubert M. Warnick, William "Billy" Warnick, Thomas Ravenscroft, Janet Rae Warnick and her twin, Margaret Jean Ravenscroft.
She was a member of Midland Grace United Methodist Church and the Barton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She graduated from Valley High School and attended Catherman's Business School. She had worked as a bank teller for F&M Bank, Frostburg. Jane was a loving and giving wife, mother and grandmother before all things and will be missed dearly. Memories of her will carry them through.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Marshall Robert Winters; two daughters, Caryn R. Sagal and husband Harry J. of Midland and Amanda L. Evans and husband Thomas O. of Corriganville; two grandchildren, Chandler Thomas-Scott Sagal and Layton Hadley Sagal; one sister, Phyllis Cullen of Midland; three brothers, John W. Ravenscroft of Midland, Robert "Bobby" Ravenscroft of South Carolina and Wilson "Jimmy" Ravenscroft of Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews and three very special friends, Martha Lou Broome, Mary Durst and Linda Miller.
Jane loved life and brought a smile and love to all that knew her. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Midland (www.eichhornmckenzie.com). Friends and family will be received from 2 PM to 7 PM. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with loving friend, Rev. Harry Burchell officiating.
