Brenda Bennett

Brenda Nan (Bean) Bennett, 74, of Shaft, Maryland, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home.

She was born on March 31, 1946, at Hodges Clinic to Samuel and Annetta Bean of Lonaconing, Maryland.

Brenda and Frank Bennett were married on March 24, 1973. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage with each other.

Brenda graduated from the Sacred Heart Hospital School of Practical Nursing in June of 1969. She worked as an LPN for 15 years at Sacred Heart Hospital and Devlin Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Annetta Bean.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Frank Bennett of Shaft, MD, son; Roger Bennett and wife Reggie of Frostburg, MD; daughter, Angela Bennett of Columbia, MD; granddaughter; Samantha Bennett of Shaft, MD; and granddaughter, Andrea Bennett of Shaft, MD.

Brenda was also a lifetime lover of dance. She started dancing at the age of 5 and enjoyed it well into her later years. Brenda and Frank were members of several Country Western Dance Clubs where they met many lifelong friends.

In accordance with Brenda’s wishes, she was cremated. There will be a memorial service open to the public on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 2-4 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home in Midland, MD.

The inurnment will be closed to the public and held at a later time.
