Bradley T. Jones, 47, of York, PA and formerly of Gilmore, MD went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Born on December 9, 1966 in Cumberland he was the son of Betsy (Wilson) Magruder and husband Jim of Gilmore and the late David "Nook" Jones.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Martha Wilson and paternal grandparents David A. Rayner and Betty (Bonney) Nelson and one niece Elizabeth Magruder.
Brad was a 1984 graduate of Valley High School and went on to receive a nursing degree from Somerset County Technology Center. He worked in several medical facilities over the years and most recently at the York County, PA Prison. He was a past member of the Georges Creek Rescue Squad. Brad never met a stranger and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved. He had a fabulous sense of humor and always made people laugh.
He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Magruder and wife Lori of Avilton and a sister, Jennifer Hughes and husband Jeff of Midlothian; a nephew, Cody Hughes; three nieces, Kristin Hughes and Madilynn and Molly Magruder; his best friends, Thad Holmes and Cathy Bolding of PA and numerous family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 4PM - 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Midland with Father Ed Hendricks, celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Midland. Expressions of sympathy can be directed to the family at www.wilhelmeakin.com.
