Betty A. Boettcher Johnson, 86, formerly of Lonaconing died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Born February 14, 1925 in Westernport she was the daughter of the late William Frederick Boettcher and Martha (Rounds) Boettcher.
Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Paul Dickerson.
She was Presbyterian by faith and retired as a public health nurse.
She is survived by her two children, Kim Johnson Bernardo and husband Jim of Pittsburgh, PA and Kevin Johnson of Cumberland; one granddaughter, Maria Renee Bernardo of Pittsburgh, PA; one nephew, Bill Dickerson and wife Karen of Annapolis and two great-nephews Ryan and Garrett Dickerson.

), Lonaconing on Thursday April 21, 2011 from Noon -
2 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Donald Spear and Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Inurnment will be held at Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
At Betty's request memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare Society of Allegany County at P.O. Box 123, Cumberland, MD 21502 and the American Cancer Society at 182 N. Mechanic Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
