Beatrice Muir

Beatrice Jean Muir, 80, of Midland, died Monday, March 02, 2015 at Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Born on June 17, 1934 in Kitzmiller she was the daughter of the late Antonio James and Tina (Knotts) James.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Faith Muir; a grandson Nicholas Muir; five brothers, Conrad, Hugh and Larry James and twins, Maxwell and Marvin James and one sister, Kathleen James.

She was member of Grace United Methodist Church, Midland.  She spent 18 years with the Little League in Midland, where she was secretary for 5 years and president for 5 years. She was also a former member of the Midland Town Council. She had worked many years ago at the Well Baby Clinic in Midland.

She is survived by her three children, James K. Muir and wife Ruth of Midland, Randall C.  Muir and wife Beverly of Frostburg and Anthony W. Muir and wife Ronda of Cumberland; eight grandchildren, T.J. Muir and fiancé Jamie Emrick, Craig Muir and wife Beth, April Muir, Erin Cowan and husband Ben, Andrea Kisner and husband Brian, Andrew Muir and fiancé Jessica Moore, Lauren Colmer and Dustin Muir; seventeen great-grandchildren, Shelbie, Taylor, Cameron, Dominek, Angela, Kaylee, Karma, Aiden, Makayla, Carter, Khiana, Karenah, Mason, Alianna, Gage, Bentley and a baby boy due in May; two brothers, Derfy Gus James of Delaware and Donald James and wife Juanita of Kitzmiller; three sisters, Maxine Reall and husband Sonny of Pinto, Leona Brantner and husband Lester of Rockville and Excava Pritts of Elk Garden, WV and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece Linda Willis who took care of Bea.

Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 5, 2014 at 11:00AM with a dear friend of the family, Rev. Donald Matthews officiating. Interment will be held at Nethken Hill Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
