Aubrey "Hogan" Fairgrieve

Aubrey “Hogan” Lewis Fairgrieve, 90, of Lower Georges Creek Road, Lonaconing passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 at his residence. Born on October 21, 1928 in Moscow he was the son the late James Z. Fairgrieve and Maude E. (Green) Fairgrieve.

He was preceded in death by his son Eddy R. Fairgrieve and seven siblings Milton, Lester, Galen, John and Dwaine Fairgrieve and Evelyn Shuck and Gladys McCabe.

Hogan owned and operated Fairgrieve Trucking for over 42 years. He was a great fisherman and hunter. He loved to fish Savage River with his friends. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grand pap and great-grand pap. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife Mary E. (Donald) Fairgrieve, with whom he just celebrated 60 years of marriage on May 29 ^th ; two sons Thomas E. Fairgrieve of Lonaconing and Dale L. Fairgrieve and Kellie Shaw of Midland; three grandchildren Thomas E. Fairgrieve II, Jeremiah C. Fairgrieve and Michele Clark and Victoria B. O’Neal Fairgrieve and husband Ty; five great-grandchildren Tanner, Taylor, Kylie and Karly Fairgrieve and Sadie Fairgrieve; one sister Delores Sterling of Geneseo, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 2-6PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 6:00 PM with Rev. Harold Smith officiating.

The family would like to thank Western Maryland Health System Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Hogan.
