Annie Howell

Annie Bogie Howell, 91, of Lonaconing died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing where she had been a patient for six years. Born on December 10, 1920 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late, Alexander Bogie, Sr. and Mary Ann (Kirkwood) Bogie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. "Buzz" Howell in 1985 and two brothers, Alex Bogie, Jr. and James Bogie.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing. A homemaker most of her life she had formerly worked at the Lonaconing Silk Mill. Annie was a graduate of the 1939 class of Central High School, and she was a member of Central Alumni.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Kidwell and husband Gene of Lonaconing; three grandchildren, Regina Shuhart and husband Dwayne of Greensburg, PA, David Kidwell and wife Christy of Lonaconing and Eddie Kidwell and wife Julia of LaVale, MD; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret "Margie" McKenzie and husband Don of Detmold and several nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Monday, March 12, 2012 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Fred Iser officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.
