Frostburg, MD

Ann Denise Miller, 69, of Wright Street, Frostburg, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 30, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on October 17, 1954, in Plaistow, England, she was the cherished daughter of the late David William Blair and Jean McFarland (McKechnie) Blair.

She was preceded in death by her adored grandson, Callum David Miller.

Ann is survived by her loving husband, Michael Miller; her two sons, David Lee Miller and Paul Daniel Miller, who inherited her adventurous spirit; and three delightful grandchildren, Connor Thomas Miller, Evan Blair Miller, and Emily Therese Miller, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her dear sister, Christine Blair, with whom she shared countless memories.

Ann had a deep love for traveling, and one of her favorite places was Canvey Island, England, where she lived with her family for 20 years. She found great joy in exploring new destinations, whether a local drive through the mountains of Maryland or an adventurous trip to Sicily with her “girls” from home. Each journey filled her with excitement and wonder, making every moment a cherished memory.

Beyond her passion for travel, Ann loved spending quality time with her family and friends. Her home was always a welcoming haven where laughter and love flowed freely, and a good cup of English tea was always on offer. Ann had an incredible ability to make everyone feel special and appreciated, creating lasting memories with each gathering, especially for her extended family: Leah, Kara, Jason, Marline, and so many more.

Ann will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her infectious smile and adventurous spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her, both in the US and the UK. She lived a life full of love and laughter, and her memory will continue to live on through those who were a part of her life.

In honor of Ann's adventurous spirit and her love for her homeland, she will be cremated, and her remains will be returned to England, the place where her heart always belonged. The family is being assisted by Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing.
